Farrier, Vet and Equine Dentist

The following select group of professionals visit the yard on a regular basis. Of course, you are more than welcome to arrange your own farrier, vet etc. but we can strongly recommend the following individuals as being amongst the best in the area.

Gary Harland - Farrier

Gary visits us once every 6 weeks. A member of the Association of the Worshipful Company of Farriers (AWCF), Gary specialises in the remedial and corrective shoeing of competition horses. Using the latest techniques and materials, including composites, alloys, bonding and more traditional methods, Gary works closely with both Veterinary Surgeons and Physiotherapists to ensure that the correct treatment is applied to aid an effective and lasting outcome.

Robert Ruddy - Equine Dental Technician (Dentist)

Robert visits the yard approximately every 6 months. A member of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT). Robert provides our horses with a full oral examination and dental chart and works hand in hand with our vets when necessary.

Tim Jarman - Physio & Back Specialist

Another specialist visiting us on a 6 monthly basis, Tim is an Animal Physical Therapist who specialises in providing a therapeutic and natural technique for a variety of musculoskeletal problems in animals. He is able to offer treatments in joint mobilisation, soft tissue manipulation, stretching exercises, advice on future rehabilitation programmes and every day management issues as well as behavioural problems.
